Nashik (Today): On Tuesday, three people were killed and ten others were injured when a speeding truck collided with an autorickshaw and a passenger utility vehicle on the Mumbai-Agra highway in Dhule at around 11.30 p.m.The truck driver was convicted of causing death as a result of negligence by the Dhule taluka police.The driver fled after the collision, according to police sub-inspector Prakash Patil of the Dhule taluka police station.The truck carrying onions was speeding towards Dhule from Malegaon.

Sarlabai Pandit Sonawane (28) and Mahendra Chudaman Patil (51), two passengers of the utility vehicle, both residents of Parola taluka in Jalgaon, were killed in the crash.Inspector Dattatray Shinde, the Dhule taluka police force rushed to the scene and shifted the wounded residents to the Dhule civil hospital.Shaikh died while receiving medical attention, but Sonawane and Patil were declared dead.The 12 passengers in the SUV were traveling to Khadki, Pune, for a wedding.
