Lucknow: Due to a two-hour power cut on Saturday, two patients on a ventilator at King Georges Medical University (KGMU) were transferred to Trauma Center.During this period, hundreds of patients had to wait for Out Patient Door (OPD) registrations and laboratory tests to be completed.During this period, the power failure began at 8.30 a.m., according to reports.It affected the OPD unit, departments of urology, respiratory therapy, plastic surgery, and the PRO office in particular.

Two patients on ventilators were transferred to the trauma center's critical care unit because power back up was not available in the respiratory department.According to Prof Sandeep Tiwari, the Trauma Centre's director, they are stable and still in the Trauma Center.The power failure occurred when a cable was disassembled during a construction project.He said the supply was restored at 10.30 a.m.
