Sourav Ganguly opened a Durga Puja pandal in Kolkata on Tuesday . Puja Committee constructed a replica of Lords Pavilion adjacent to the pandal .

On Tuesday, President Sourav Ganguly of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) opened a Durga puja pandal in Kolkata.On Tuesday evening, a former Indian skipper was introduced to the Mitali Sangha community of Durga Puja pandal in Garia.The Puja Committee constructed a replica of Lords Pavilion adjacent to the pandal for Ganguly.This puja pandal is inspired by a famous Lords story.

The area where the famous t-shirt waving incident of 2002 took place.India had a memorable victory over the hosts at Lords during the NatWest tri-series final at Lords, when Yuvraj Singh and Mohammad Kaif led India across the line.Ganguly, the then India captain, couldn't contain his emotions and took off his shirt and waved it at the Lords balcony.He also smacked 32 wickets.
