In Maharashtra, a man was attacked over a post on Nupur Sharma.

Pratik alias Sunny Pawar, 23, was assaulted with swords and other sharp weapons by a group of around 15 men in Karjat town, about 145 kilometers from Pune . The attack allegedly occurred because of a note he posted regarding BJPs suspended national spokesperson Nupur Sharmas remarks .

PUNE (English): On the night of August 4, a 23-year-old man, Pratik alias Sunny Pawar, was assaulted with swords and other sharp weapons by a group of around 15 men in Karjat town, about 145 kilometers from Pune, allegedly because of a note he posted regarding BJPs suspended national spokesperson Nupur Sharma's remarks, according to Gitesh Shelke and Ranjan Dasgupta.In connection with the attack, the Ahmednagar police have arrested five men-Sohail Shaukat Pathan, Arbaaz Qasam Pathan, Junaid Javed Pathan, Hussain Qasam Shaikh, and Arbaaz Shaikh-so far.In addition to impounding a four-wheeler, they have arrested a juvenile on suspicion of participating in the assault.The police are also investigating Pawars friend, Amit Mane, who was with him at the time of the assault and filed a lawsuit arguing that the attackers continued to refer to Pawars' post about Sharma's remarks.

The detective will find out if the assault had anything to do with this past feud.Pawars' condition is stable, according to Ahmednagar SP Manoj Patil, and he will be discharged in a day or two.According to him, the situation in Karjat is peaceful.Pawar was charged with posting information about Sharma, according to Mane in the FIR.

Pawar has been using social media platforms for much of his time.Patil said that it will take three to four days to complete the task.Sohail and Arbaz Pathan were arrested from the Lohar galli (lane) in Karjat and presented them to a magisterial court in Shrigonda, who later ordered their custodial remand until August 10.According to Karjat police inspector Chandrashekhar Yadav, the duos interrogation resulted in the detention of three more suspects and the detention of a minor.
