In Nagpur, an activist who organised relief efforts for migrants during the lockdown has died.

Joseph George (49) led several humanitarian aid campaigns during the cross-country migration that occurred during the lockout two years ago . George played a vital role in coordinating with 130 non-governmental organisations .

According to Anasuya Kale Chhabrani, he didn't know most of us but became the coordinator of rescue operations for the Nagpur police during the lockdown.George, a native of Kailash Nagar, is survived by father VJ George, wife Achamma, son Evan Joseph, and sisters Janet Mary and Victoria Roy.Since yesterday, he has had several cardiac arrests.According to Evan, he had a variety of co-morbidities that worsened his condition.
