In Prayagraj's trans-Ganga area, four members of a family were bludgeoned to death.

All four victims were struck by an axe by the unidentified assassins.The DIG reported that bodies of three people were discovered lying on the verandah of the house, while the body of the child was lying inside the room.Four people have been arrested by police for interrogation.The police have assembled data about the incident and are refining their theories.

The couple also filed lawsuits against certain individuals under the SCST Act in 2019 and 2021, according to the DIG.He said, The police are investigating all the angles thoroughly and compiling evidence.The couple recently complained to the police higher levels about the local police for failing to take action on their claims.Residents of the villages, angered by the horrific murders, refused to allow the local police to take the bodies for postmortem for hours.

However, the villagers relented after the intervention of senior police officers and allowed the police to examine the bodies.
