BHUBANESWAR: In Mangalaghat Chhaka in Puri town, police confiscated around 3.2 kilograms of brown sugar worth Rs 3 crore on Saturday and arrested three youths.Among those arrested is the gang kingpin.The police conducted a raid and apprehended the three drug manufacturers, Susanta Pattanaik, Raj Kishore Sahoo, and Manas Sahoo, all in their twenties, and residents of Kesharpur, under the Kanas police station in Puri district, according to reliable information.They have been listed in relevant sections of the Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985.

SP (Puri) Kanwar Vishal Singh said they had been hearing reports about the drug manufacturers movement in the town for the past three to four days.We finally arrested them on Saturday morning, after constantly monitoring their movements, he said.Pattanaik, the racket's kingpin, would be put on probation for further investigation, he said.The three are trying to obtain evidence about the illicit trade and the parties involved in the supply chain, according to the police.
