Manchester City, the Premier League champions, drew the highest-ever revenue and profit in the club's history during the 2021-22 season, according to the club.According to the latest Brand Finance survey, City is now ranked the second most important brand in world soccer, surpassing local rivals Manchester United for the first time. They are now the top-ranked Premier League club, only Real Madrid has a more valuable brand.According to the club's annual report, they reported revenues of 613 million pounds ($702 million), up 43.2 million pounds from last year, and a record profit of 41.7 million pounds, thanks in part to fans returning to the Etihad Stadium after matches were played without fans in the stadium for the majority of the season due to anti-COVID laws.
We should be grateful for all of our peers' accomplishments and look to the future with optimism, knowing that our club is determined to do so much more. The 67.7 million profit generated by the transfer of players registrations, City said, was worth more than 250 million pounds over the past five years, with the figure expected to increase even higher in 2022-23.Our strong revenue growth was attributed to a variety of factors, but ultimately to the beautiful football we play and the continued fan engagement it generates, according to Chief Executive Officer Ferran Soriano.More fans, more audiences, more fans at the stadium, and more vendors interested in being commercially associated with Manchester City. They also reached the Champions League semi-finals.
