In a bribery case, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) arrested an Under Secretary rank officer of the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) under the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act (FCRA).According to reports, the under secretary was stationed in the MHA's FCRA Division.The CBI team arrested him on Friday evening for questioning in the FCRA bribery investigation.His name surfaced during interrogation of six MHA employees stationed in the FCRA Division in a bribery investigation.

On May 11, CBI arrested 14 suspects, including six public servants, and recovered cash of Rs 3.21 crore (approximately), as well as several incriminating documents, cellphones, etc., during raids at the accused's premises at approximately 40 locations around the country.
