With a zealous 57-ball 89, Australian womens team took a convincing nine-wicket victory in the first T20 International here on Friday, opener Beth Mooney made short work of India's 173-run target.During her time in the middle, Mooney smashed 16 fours and was aided by Tahlia McGraths unbeaten 29-ball 40, which included four boundaries and two sixes.In the five-match series, Australia took a 1-0 lead.Deepti Sharma blazed away to an unbeaten 15-ball 36 to force India to 172 for five, scoring 73 runs in just under nine overs, with Richa Ghosh (36 off 20 balls) and the returning Devika Vaidya (25 off 24) taking the second wicket.Sharma smashed four consecutive boundaries in the final over, being bowled by Megan Schutt to propel India's run rate.
