India captain Rohit Sharma sustained a blow to his thumb in the 2nd ODI match against Bangladesh . Sharma was also assaulted by the Bangladesh team's bowler Mohammed Siraj .

Dhaka (Bangladesh), December 7: On Wednesday, India skipper Rohit Sharma sustained an injury to his thumb while playing in the second ODI match of the three-match series against Bangladesh at the Shere Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka.Rohit was admitted to the hospital for x-rays after injury to his left hand on the second slip during the Bangladesh innings.While playing in the 2nd ODI, India captain Rohit Sharma sustained a blow to his thumb.He was evaluated by the BCCI Medical Team.

At the second slip, India bowler Mohammed Siraj curled his length back and held it in the middle of the corridor, Anamul was not committed on the front foot and just hung his bat in anticipation, the outside edge flew low straight to Rohit, and the Indian skipper couldnt quite grasp it.In the process, he was also assaulted and subsequently removed from the field.Rajat Patidar took over as a substitute.Sharma, who suffered a broken thumb in the second over, has been admitted to the hospital for scans.In the remaining 2nd ODI, Bangladesh skipper Litton Das won the toss and opted to bat first against India.Following the first ODI against Bangladesh on Sunday, Kuldeep Sen complained of back stiffness.
