Uttar Pradesh reached the milestone of 32 crore doses administered on Saturday . 90% of the 18-plus population and 70% of adolescents in the 15-17 age group had received at least two doses of the pandemic virus vaccine .

Lucknow, November 29, 2017: More than 70% of states' population under the age of 15 has been fully vaccinated.UP nearly two out of every three people over the age of 15 are vaccinated against coronavirus, which came to the fore when Uttar Pradesh reached the milestone of 32 crore doses administered on Saturday.Officials said that 90% of the 18-plus population and 70% of adolescents in the 15-17 age group had received at least two doses of the pandemic virus vaccine.They believed that this achievement would boost the states' herd immunity to coronavirus.

They also noted that UP was the first state in India to administer more than 32 crore doses of Covid-19 vaccine, which is a significant achievement and speaks for the states' success on the covid-19 vaccination front.Maharashtra is now second with 16.6 crore doses.The state is yet to ramp up on the vaccination front, with 13.93 crore, 13.02 crore, and 11.82 crore doses being administered in West Bengal, Bihar, and Madhya Pradesh, according to data, but the state's precaution dose takers are estimated to be 29.4 lakh.Nevertheless, the total number of cases pending in the state has dropped to 1,174.

One person was killed in Bhadoi district as a result of coronavirus infections.
