Panaji: The state government has decided to amend the Goa Factories Act, 1985, to allow the chief inspector or an inspector of the factories and boilers department to issue a closure order against manufacturing units that are not listed as a factory.The department has published the proposal for revision and provided a 45-day deadline for interested parties to file objections or suggestions regarding the proposed revision.Under the policy feedback tab, they are required to provide their feedback to the Goa online portal.The department is amending Rule 18A of the Goa Factories Rules.
