Independent MLA from Gondia vows support after joining the BJP misunderstanding

Vinod Agrawal denied joining the BJP, saying he only pledged his support to his former party . Agrawal said being an independent MLA and joining another party would result in his disqualification from the state assembly .

Nagpur: MLC Chandrashekhar Bawankules tweeted on Thursday evening that the independent MLA from Gondia's accession to BJP constituted a mini-political drama in itself.MLA Vinod Agrawal denied joining the saffron ranks just hours later, claiming to only give support to his former party.I am not a member of the BJP, Agrawal told a man who was speaking to journalists.BJP is a political party that operates in the United States.

Agrawal had resigned from his primary membership of the BJP in 1999 in order to comply with electoral principles.Except for Bawankule, even MLC Parinay Fuke had confirmed to Agrawal's joining the party.When posting his Thursday evening tweet about Agrawal, Bawankule shared a photo of Agrawal with Devendra Fadnavis.The Gondia MLA clarified that there must have been some confusion.
