In her remarks to the UN Security Council Joint Briefing by the Chairs of the 126713731540 Committees, India has said that its attempts to sanction the perpetrators and facilitators of the 2611 Mumbai terror attacks have been postponed for political reasons, enabling those responsible to walk free and launch new cross-border assaults against the region, particularly in Asia and Africa, killing 166 people, including 26 foreign nationals.Since the United States had issued a call to the 1373 Counter-Terrorism Committee (CTC) in Mumbai and New Delhi last year, Kamboj said the Committee's progress is dependent on the adoption of new and emerging technology, including the 1540 Committee's financial assistance, and the ability of the UAE to monitor these groups' activities in the process, adding that India's delegation gave priority to the CTC's briefing as a whole, not just an indicator of progress.
