India begins the T20 World Cup for the Blind with a winning record thanks to tonnes from Sunil Ramesh and Deepak Malik.

India beat Nepal by 274 runs in their opening match at the 3rd T20 World Cup for the Blind . Sri Lanka beat South Africa by seven wickets in their first match .

New Delhi (India), December 7 : India opened their campaign at the 3rd T20 World Cup for the Blind by defeating Nepal by 274 runs, thanks to brilliant scores from Sunil Ramesh and Deepak Malik.The match was played at the Sledge Hammer Cricket Academy ground in Faridabad, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh also won the tournament, beating Australia and South Africa respectively.According to a press release from the Cricket Association for the Blind in India (CABI), the Minister of State for Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of Haryana, and legendary hockey player Sandeep Singh witnessed India's match.Indian captain Ajay Kumar Reddy won the toss and was chosen to bat.

After Ajay's dismissal, Lalit Meena joined Sunil and forged a 72-run partnership before Sunil was hospitalized.With the help of 25 boundaries, the opener smashed 106 runs of 38 balls.Deepak Malik continued the innings's momentum with vice-captain D. Venkateswara Rao.Deepak scored a swashbuckling 113 of 34 balls (22x4, 3x6) and Venkateswara grabbed 67 of 22 (11x4, 2x6) as India amassed 3822 runs in their allotted 20 overs.

In the innings that did not allow Nepal to gain any momentum, the Indians were superb on the field, yielding 7 runs-outs.India won a big victory after their innings ended at 1089 in 20 overs.In the other round-robin match played at the Saket Sports Complex in Delhi, Bangladesh defeated South Africa by 99 runs.Bangladesh was batted into bat by South Africa, riding on half-centuries from Salman and Abid to score 2315 runs in 20 overs.

For the loss of 9 wickets, Australia was batted out for 158.Cameron Matt led the Aussies with 48 points.Sri Lanka won in just 13.4 overs, aided by solid knocks from Suranga Sampath and Ruwan Wasantha, who scored 63 and 43 runs respectively, and Nepal won-1089 in 20 overs (Khemananda Ghatre 38, Deepak Malik-127),Bangladesh-2315 in 20 overs (Salman-62, Abid-52, and Md93, South Africa will face Bangladesh at the Sledge Hammer Cricket Academy Ground in Faridabad, with Ashiqur Rahman-45; Sphelele Khalala-212) defeated South Africa-1327.Australia-1589 in 20 overs (Cameron Matt-48; Suranga Sampath-235).
