Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said India has integrated into the manufacturing industry and is now producing indigenous aircraft carriers like the INS Vikrant . Defence exports now reach Rs 14,000 crore, up from Rs 900 crore in 2014 .

New Delhi, December 9, 2017: On Friday, Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh applauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi's government for a self-reliant plan taken by Aatmanirbhar Bharat.India has integrated into the manufacturing industry and is now producing indigenous aircraft carriers like the INS Vikrant, according to Union Defence Minister Aajtak Conclave 2022.In the media conclave, the Governments are focusing on increasing the participation of the private sector in their as well as the nations development, according to the Minister.Singh said that the Ministry of Defence had issued positive indigenisation lists of over 3,700 items, including componentsLine Replacement Units for DPSUs and 310 other defense-related items, to encourage self-reliance.

He expressed optimism that defence exports will reach Rs 19,000 crore by 2023, and that we are well on track to reach the target of Rs 25,000 crore by 2025, he said.Rajnath Singh said that it was made possible after the Prime Minister spoke with the Presidents of Russia, Ukraine, and the United States in relation to Operation Ganga, which was launched to evacuate over 22,500 Indians from conflict-plagued Ukraine.It was a testament to Narendra Modi's worldwide popularity and respect among the rest of the world, Rajnath Singh said.India has surpassed India's GDP of USD 3.5 trillion in the last 8.5 years as a result of Modi's leadership.

According to him, we have jumped out of that category and joined the Fabulous Five economies of the world today.
