On Tuesday, Truecaller announced Government Services in India. The app now has a digital directory with verified government contacts. It is intended to shield users from fraud, deception, and spam by individuals pretending to be government officials.Truecaller users will be able to find a government number that has been verified by its name and blue tick. This feature is meant to improve peoples access to government officials.Thousands of verified government contacts are included in Truecaller Government Services.Users will have access to helplines, law enforcement agencies, embassies, research institutes, hospitals, and other vital departments in about 23 Indian states, including union territories, according to the caller-identification firm.It has also developed a quick way for government departments to have their numbers checked and reported to the directory. It is also working with various government departments to provide more contacts based on user feedback.Truecaller and the Karnataka government formed a team in March 2021 to implement the initiative.Nevertheless, the aim was to extend this feature to India as a whole.Truecaller is now hoping that the Government Services feature would enable its over 240 million users in India to communicate with the government in a stress-free manner. With improved efficiency, the app's size was also decreased. This Truecaller for iOS update is supposed to make onboarding for new users easier, making it faster and simpler.Featured Video Of The DayVideo: Stray dogs are seen on a hospital bed in Madhya Pradesh, and a probe has been ordered.
