Indian Air Force Launches Agnipath Registration Process

The recruitment process for the Indian Air Force under the Agnipath scheme started on Friday . Youth between the ages of 17-and-a-half and 21 years will be eligible for regular service .

New Delhi, India: The recruitment process for the Indian Air Force under the Agnipath scheme started on Friday with the opening of the registration window, a week after violent demonstrations in several states.The IAF announced on Twitter that the registration window would open from 10 a.m. on June 14 and that youth between the ages of 17-and-a-half and 21 years will be eligible for regular service.The government changed the upper age limit for recruitment under the Agnipath scheme to 23 years from 21 for the year 2022, according to the army, and the new scheme will see the average age of soldiers reduced from 32 to 26 years over a period of time.The Army has praised the initiative, which came to light after two years of negotiations.

Following that, the monthly salary for the second, third, and fourth year will be Rs 33,000, Rs 36,500, and Rs 40,000, respectively.The proposed scheme will include about two-and-a-half months to six months of learning phase.
