India's coal output increased 11.66 percent to 76 mt in November.

Indias total coal production increased 11.66 percent to 75.87 million tonne (mt) in November 2022 from 67.94 mt in 2021 . Singareni Collieries Company (SCCL) and captive mines others saw a decrease of 7.84% and 6.87% respectively .

New Delhi (India), December 6: According to a ministry statement, Indias total coal production increased 11.66 percent to 75.87 million tonne (mt) in November 2022 from 67.94 mt in 2021, while Singareni Collieries Company (SCCL) and captive mines others saw a decrease of 7.84% and 6.87 percent, respectively.According to a statement from the Ministry of Coal, coal-based power generation increased by 16.28 percent year on year to 448 million tonne in November 2022, up from 60.20 mt in the year-ago period, and total power generation in November 2022 was 14.63 percent higher than in November 2021.The rise in average rakes per day availability is aiding in transporting larger amounts of coal and building up coal stocks at power plants.
