IndiGo begins service between Trichy and KL.

IndiGo Airlines launches daily service between Kuala Lumpur and Trichy . Air Asia and Malindo Air are planning to increase frequency in coming months .

Trichy is a city in Malaysia.To capitalize on the untapped potential of this sector, IndiGo Airlines launched its first-ever daily service between Trichy and Kuala Lumpur.On May 15, deputy high commissioner of India in Malaysia, Archana Nair, inaugurated the first flight in Kuala Lumpur.Flight (6E 1817) left Kuala Lumpur at 12.30 p.m. (local time) and reached Trichy airport at 2.05 p.m. (IST) with 102 passengers.

Air Asia and Malindo Air are currently operating between Kuala Lumpur and Trichy.The number of days for which there are no alternatives will increase to 21.According to reports, Air Asia and Malindo Air are planning a rise in frequency in the coming months.From June 1, Malindo Air, which operates seven flights per week, will continue to serve as a daily two services.

IndiGo Air also has a pledge to expand its service list from seven to 14 flights per week starting on September 2, according to sources.Though airlines are rushing to serve more flights, travel agents have expressed concern that such a strategy would fail to attract more visitors due to the price.Normalcy will be fully restored beginning in November this year, according to travel agents.
