Intelligence teams have been requested to check for discussion activities in missionary schools in Madhya Pradesh.

Madhya Pradesh home minister Narrottam Mishra said he had asked intelligence units to keep an eye on all missionary schools in the district . Six people were arrested on Monday after a report that a group of people gathered at Christ Memorial School and were about to be converted .

Bhopal, India: Madhya Pradesh home minister Narrottam Mishra said that he had asked intelligence units to keep an eye on all missionary schools in the district to ensure that no conversion activities are taking place the day after six people were arrested.Following a report that a group of people gathered at Christ Memorial School and were about to be converted, Bairagarh police issued an FIR against six people.Father Paul Polus, Kamini Paul, Rajesh Malviya, and Ritika Malviya were arrested on the spot, and two others, namely school director Manis Mathew and Rahul Sharma, were rounded up on Monday.According to him, the accused were charged under Indian Penal Code (IPC) section 153A (promoting division among different groups on the basis of religion) and the Madhya Pradesh Freedom of Religion Act, adding that a further probe was ongoing.
