Invitation to Submit Expressions of Interest for Phalke Memorial Renovation

Nashik Municipal Corporation has invited an expression of interest for maintenance of the Dadasaheb Phalke Memorial . The entrance to the park is currently free, but the number of visitors is increasing .

Nashik: The Nashik Municipal Corporation (NMC), which opened the Phalke Memorial to the public on June 16, has now started work on restoring it.For the renovation and annual maintenance of the Dadasaheb Phalke Memorial, NMC has invited an Expression of Interest (EoI).The entrance to the park is currently free, but the number of visitors is increasing and the NMC is introducing entry fees on July 1.The Phalke Memorial, which was completed in 2001, is dedicated to Dadasaheb Phalke, the father of Indian cinema.

NMC's preliminary bid rounds will begin on July 14th.The civic body had also submitted a bid and designated a Mumbai-based private company for the purpose, but the company was not given a work order.Pawar, who took over the presidency in the last week of March, had annulled the decision to build and operate Phalke Memorial through a Mumbai-based private company.Pawar had intended to operate it on its own and to develop it and manage it.
