ITO squatters won't face damage charges, and MCD will move debris

New Delhi (New Delhi): From Friday, the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) will not charge encroachers with damage and will arrange for the removal of demolition debris from the ITO graveyard.Around 50 illegal buildings were demolished near the graveyard on Wednesday.When a person makes improvements to a property that is not authorized, they are usually assessed with damages.However, the work was actually illegal and consisted of shanties, tea stalls, offices, etc.

After clearing the stretch, there is also a proposal to repair the road, but there is no proposal to construct any footpath here.According to the official, we will arrange for the removal of rubble from the site from Friday to minimize inconvenience to commuters and also install streetlights for the safety of all.After the drive on Wednesday, one side of the road is full of rubble.MCD demolished these buildings in the direction of Delhi High Court, clearing over 1,800 square meters of public land.

According to locals, the buildings were erected on the MCD's footpath and then extended horizontally and vertically.The group demanded that the corporation install proper lights so that the road does not become desolate at night.
