Jammu and Kashmir Has Improved Over The Past 2-3 Years: Former Deputy Chief Minister

Muzaffar Hussain Baig said stability in the region is in the best interest of both Pakistan and India . He said bloodshed has decreased in Jammu and Kashmir assembly elections .

Ex Jammu and Kashmir deputy chief minister Muzaffar Hussain Baig said the situation in the union territory has improved in the last two to three years, and that good work has been made on the reform front as well.Mr Baig, who resigned from the Mehbooba Mufti-led PDP in 2020 after nearly 20 years, said stability in the region is in the best interest of both Pakistan and India.Stability has increased dramatically in the last two to three years...He said the situation has been such that bloodshed has decreased in Jammu and Kashmir assembly elections, adding that towns and cities have been neglected because elections have taken place only at the village level, where 70% of the population lives, adding that this can happen if the government is elected and prepares a budget.I am sure that elections in Jammu and Kashmir will take some time before they are held because a lot of preparation must be done.

Pakistan had a prime minister who did not have a single charge of corruption against him for the first time since ZA Bhutto.Hesaid, referring to former Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan, that Pakistan is in such a state today that we should have compassion for its people and pray for them that there is peace in the region, he said.
