Jammu and Kashmir's forward Line of Control sectors are visited by the army chief.

Army Chief General Manoj Pande visited the forward areas along the Line of Control (LoC) in the Poonch and Rajouri districts of Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday . The Chief of Army Staff (COAS) arrived in Jammu on Friday for a two-day visit .

JAMMU, Jan. 15, 2019: According to an official, Army Chief General Manoj Pande visited the forward areas along the Line of Control (LoC) in the Poonch and Rajouri districts of Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday and reviewed the operational readiness.The Chief of Army Staff (COAS) arrived in Jammu on Friday for a two-day visit and was briefed on the current security situation, according to the official.The additional directorate general of public information (ADGPI) of the Indian Army tweeted, #COAS, General Manoj Pande, visited the forward areas of Poonch and Rajouri Sectors and assessed the operational readiness along the Line of Control.General Pande visited the headquarters of the White Knight Corps at Nagrota on Friday, as well as the Akhnoor district in Jammu's outskirts, according to the official.

In an earlier tweet, the ADGPI praised the commanders and troops for their high standards, operational readiness, and ability to deter any attack.
