RANCHI: The Jharkhand high court took note of the recent death of a person in a shootout at Deoghar civil court on Wednesday and ordered the state government to present a report.The suo motu PIL was initiated by Chief Justice Ravi Ranjan and Justice Sujit Narayan Prasad, who noted that the state's law and order situation has worsened.Every day, murders are committed, and the crime rate has risen to a smidgeon, according to the judges.The bench has also requested that the Deoghar civil court be subjected to a security examination, which would assess the building's security and latches.

Similar incidents have occurred in Hazaribag and Jamshedpur previously.PILs have also been filed challenging the conduct of the courthouse and the conduct of lawyers and litigants on the standby.A PIL has also been submitted by the Jharkhand State Bar Council in this regard.On June 18, a bike-borne criminal was shot and killed in broad daylight on the Deoghar court campus.

Amit Kumar Singh, a Bihar criminal who was brought to court from jail for his involvement in a lawsuit, was identified as the deceased.A pistol was also discovered on the crime scene, but the investigation into the case has already begun.
