Security measures have been in place to shield Indias nuclear power plant systems from cyberattacks . Singh said that several steps have been taken to improve Information Security in administrative networks in nuclear power plants .

New Delhi, December 9, : According to Singh, the Union Minister of Science and Technology, Security measures have been in place to shield Indias nuclear power plant systems from cyberattacks.Singh said in a written response to a question in the Rajya Sabha that such security measures include authorization, authentication, and access control functions, strict configuration management, and surveillance.Singh said that several steps have been taken to improve Information Security in administrative networks in nuclear power plants, including hardening of internet and administrative intranet connectivity, provision of removable media, and blocking of websites and IPs.Singh said that investigations have been launched by the Computer & Information Security Advisory Group (CISAG)-DAE, a national agency, and the Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In).
