New Delhi (India), November 10 : India has extended all assistance to the Kenyan nationals missing in Kenya, according to the Ministry of External Affairs, and has been keeping close to the case's progress.During a weekly press conference, former Balaji Telefilms COO Zulfiqar Ahmad Khan and another Indian national Mohamed Zaid Sami Kidwai went missing in mid-July after leaving a popular Westlands club, at 11.53 pm, according to the Kenyan publication.Several hours later, two Indian nationals and their driver, Nicodemus Mwania, were reported missing.The three people have been missing for more than 70 days, according to MEA official spokesperson Arindam Bagchi.
According to many Kenyan media reports, the Indian team offered to the Kenyan side all assistance in this situation, including assistance in DNA testing and forensic analysis that the Kenyan side may require to assist them in carrying out their probes.Also in October, MEA learned that the Kenyan government's Information and Communication Technology (ICT) team is also in touch with the family members of the missing Indian nationals.According to a Kenya newspaper, the family recruited Ahmednasir Abdullahi, a lawyer who obtained orders for the trio to be brought in court.However, the case was announced on August 4, and the three were yet to be discovered.The family has since requested that acting Police Inspector General Noor Gabow handle the situation and speed up the probes.
