Kochi: St Teresas College will begin its centennial celebration in 2025.

St Teresas College is one of the states oldest womens colleges and setting off the centennial celebrations . The college was established on June 15, 1925, and was named after St Teresa of Avila, a 16th century saint .

KOCHI (Koch)-On Thursday, St Teresas College, one of the state's oldest womens colleges and setting off the centennial celebrations, kicked off the commemoration festivities.The logo and slogan of the centennial celebration were unveiled at a function held on the college campus on Thursday, promoting a variety of academic and non-academic developmental activities.The logo was unveiled by Higher Education Minister R Bindu, and vice-chancellor of the Kerala University of Digital Sciences Saji Gopinath unveiled the centennial video.The college was established on June 15, 1925, and was named after St Teresa of Avila, a 16th century saint.

Vinitha, the college's president, said the college has a strategic growth strategy for the next ten years that includes all academic initiatives to raise the standard of education, including the establishment of a Teresian Signature Outreach Center, which emphasizes women's health and fitness, and women's livelihood activities, as well as the celebrations for the centennial year 2024-25.Minister Bindu announced at the meeting that the state's higher education system would be redesigned.According to her, a sum of Rs 1,000 crore has been allocated to various initiatives in the education sector.
