Laptop taken from a car inside a DLF mall in Noida for Rs 1 lakh, one held

NOIDA: Officials said on Thursday that a man was arrested after reportedly stealing a laptop and Rs 1.1 lakh from a car parked inside the DLF Mall of India in Sector 18.Mursalin, a resident of Ghaziabad, committed the offence on June 17, according to police.Ankur Sharma, a resident of Mayur Vihar in Delhi, went shopping at a Noida shopping mall with his acquaintance.According to the complaint, police have declared a case under the IPC's sections 379 (theft) and 411 (dishonestly receiving stolen property).

When he returned around 8 p.m., he noticed the car's boot open.Two bags, a laptop, and cash were stolen.We thoroughly inspected the security video of the mall and also quizzed the security personnel.According to Manoj Kumar, the officer in charge of Sector 20 police station in Noida, the suspect was identified and finally arrested from a washroom in Sector 18 on Thursday.

We also recovered a mobile phone from Mursalin, which was purchased with the stolen funds.According to Ranvijay Singh, the suspected man also revealed that he gave his wife Rs 60,000.The accused reveals that he was loitering around in the mall parking lot and that Sharma had put the bags in the vehicle's boot.Mursalin was produced before a tribunal and held in jail until further investigation was launched, Singh said.
