Launch of a fellowship programme by Apollo Education UK

Apollo International Clinical Fellowship Program (ICFP), 2022, is a new venture under the Apollo Knowledge umbrella . Doctors in India will complete a Master of Surgery or Master of Medicine degree at Edge Hill University .

Apollo Education UK, a division of Apollo Hospitals group, announced the Apollo International Clinical Fellowship Program (ICFP), 2022, on Tuesday, giving doctors in India the opportunity to pursue a masters degree in surgery and medicine at UK's Edge Hill University.The initiative, which is implemented by Apollo Education UK (AEUK) Global Workforce Development (GWD) scheme, is conducted in partnership with Global Training and Education Centre (GTEC) at Wrightington, Wigan and Leigh Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, and Edge Hill University, UK, according to a statement.Doctors who have completed their MSMDDnB in India are eligible for a three-year contract.According to the report, the first year in India will be at Apollo Hospitals, while the second and third year will be spent attending and learning in NHS Hospitals in the United Kingdom.

Doctors will complete a Master of Surgery or Master of Medicine degree at Edge Hill University alongside receiving this extensive practical experience in a field of specialty, according to the publication.The Apollo ICFP is the new venture under the Apollo Knowledge umbrella, which is the Apollo Groups skilling, assessment, and resourcing arm, according to the organization.This is a part of Apollo Knowledge CEO Sivaramakrishnan Venkateswaran's Global Workforce Development (GWD) initiative to promote and nurture career opportunities for healthcare professionals in all geographies, ensuring that they are prepared and upskilled and add value to themselves and their own healthcare organizations.Clare Austin, Pro Vice Chancellor, Dean of the Faculty of Health, Social Care and Medicine Professor of Edge Hill University, said this is a critical opportunity for the Master of Surgery and Master of Medicine courses to support the recruitment and preparation of international doctors as part of our long-standing learn, earn, return, and excel scheme.
