Leprosy patients' rehabilitation: Patna HC asks the Danapur circle officer for a response

Patna high court asks Danapur circle officer to act in case of rehabilitation of leprosy patients . Justice (retd) Indu was elected permanent judge on July 10, 1990 .

PATNA: In an anti-encroachment measure, the Patna high court has asked the Danapur circle officer to act in the case of the rehabilitation of 49 leprosy patients who protested their brutal eviction and demolition of their leprosy center at Ramnagar on the Khagaul-Bailey Road canal.A PIL on behalf of Sam Utthan was being heard by the judge.Justice (retd) Indu, the first woman judge of the Patna high court, died in Patna on Friday.Indu was born on September 1, 1945 and became an advocate in 1970.

She retired in 2007.On June 27, the Patna high court will hold a full court hearing by videoconference, to mark the sad death of Justice (retd) Indu.
