Lucknow: Artists with disabilities use dance to tell stories about the struggle for freedom.

LUCKNOW: The differently abled artists' dance performances on Friday instilled a sense of valour, patriotism, and respect for the homeland among the audience.The performances were part of a Har Ghar Tiranga initiative held at Lohia Park in Lucknow, organised by Prayagraj, North Central Zone Cultural Centre.Throughout the series, Bharat Mata Ki Jai and Vande Matram echoed through the audience.Rani Khanam, the renowned kathak dancer, choreographed the dancers.

They were aided by a group of kathak dancers.Malini Awasthi, a folk musician, was also present at the fundraiser.She chronicled the journey of the freedom struggle, from the first war of independence fought by Mangal Pandey to the triumph of independence.Governor Anandiben Patel was the chief guest on the occasion.

They assist in exposing the young to many well-known and unknown heroes of the freedom fight, she said.
