Ludhiana: A CMCH student commits suicide because of academic difficulties

Jyoti Malika Singh, 22, left a suicide note to her father, in which she said that her father should not be proud of her . She wrote that she was having difficulty in carrying out her studies .

LUDHIANA: On Friday evening, a 22-year-old student of physiotherapy at Christian Medical College and Hospital (CMCH) allegedly committed suicide in a rented accommodation in Isa Nagri.The girl, named Jyoti Malika Singh of Hoshiarpur, left a suicide note to her father, in which she said that her father should not be proud of her and described her difficulties with her studies.Jyoti, a final year student, had been studying in Ludhiana for the past four years.The girl left a suicide note in which she wrote that she was having difficulty in carrying out her studies, and that she was angry, according to Assistant Commissioner of Police (central).

She shared with her father-in-law that she shouldn't be proud of her.Her family has been contacted by the police in Hoshiarpur.According to the ACP, the police would proceed further in the case after the family arrives at the city and records a statement.
