Kanpur, Apr.19: On the night of Friday and Saturday, a fire broke out near the Kidari railway crossing in Mahoba, affecting the operation of the Mahakaushal express, which was bound by Nizamuddin-Jabalpur.According to sources, the incident happened about an hour after the fire that broke out in the jungles on the track side, some distance from the Kidari railway crossing.The GRP and fire brigade led the way under control, according to the loco pilot's report.

On Friday night, the Mahakaushal Express from Nizamuddin to Jabalpur arrived at Mahoba station at around 11.40 p.m.The train left for a return journey after a two-minute break in Banda, when it had just crossed the Kidari railway crossing when it was alerted by the loco pilot that a fire was on the track side.According to reports about the fire near the pole no.12734-5, RPF officials and crews, as well as GRP officials, including inspector Hariom Mishra and the fire brigade team rushed to the scene and diduse the fire.

Mahakaushal Express remained stranded 100 meters from the Kidari railway crossing during this period, 11.53 to 12.54.The train services were also restored after the fire, he said.
