Mahmudullah of Bangladesh has retired from Test cricket.

Mahmudullah has announced his retirement from Test cricket at the age of 35. The all-rounder won 50 games and scored 2,914 runs at an average of 33.49. He also took 43 wickets in a 12-year career.

Mahmudullah, a Bangladesh all-rounder, has announced his retirement from Test cricket at the age of 35, but his country's cricket board (BCB) announced on Wednesday that he would continue to play one-day internationals and Twenty20s.He won 50 games and scored 2,914 runs at an average of 33.49.Leaving a game to which I have been a member for such a long time is not easy.I had always planned on a high and I think this is the right time to end my Test career, said Mahmudullah.He also took 43 wickets in a 12-year career.I thank my teammates and support staff for always encouraging me and believing in me.

In the first game of a two-Test series in Chittagong on Friday, Bangladesh will meet Pakistan.
