Ghaziabad (Uttar Pradesh) India Davidabad – December 11: On Sunday, a team of Uttar Pradesh Police arrested a man who called up a person from a virtual number on a social messaging app and threatened to kill him if he didn't pay Rs 20 lakh.An FIR was obtained against an unidentified individual at the Sahibabad police station by the complainant, who was named Gaurav, claiming that an unidentified caller from a virtual number threatened to kill him if he did not pay Rs 20 lakh, according to the complaint, and a joint team of UP Police and a Cyber unit arrested the individual from his Pilakhuwa home.The 28-year-old caller is a repeat intruder and was tricked into online blackmailing via YouTube, according to a police statement.According to a police statement, Kapil demanded Rs 20 lakh to cover the court cost as he and his father are being sued in the case.
His brother and father are listed as history-sheeters at the Hapur police station.
