AURANGABAD: The Aurangabad police arrested a 40-year-old man from Nashik for stealing bicycles from various areas of the city.According to police, the man used to travel all the way from Nashik to the prison.The accused also profited from his slim physique by wearing a school uniform for the robbery.Arjun Wani, a resident of Satpurs Shivaji Nagar, has been named as the accused.On Tuesday, the accused was arrested and sentenced to two-day police stationery after being presented to a court.Ashok Giri, a director of a city Chowk police station, told the alleged felon a 'common offender.'He would travel to Aurangabad by bus or train, and he would wear a school uniform to evade police.According to a preliminary investigation, the accused has at least five felony theft convictions recorded against him. According to a police officer, he decided to target sport bicycles from upscale locations.According to the officer, the suspect was first picked up during a surprise inspection mission carried out in the vicinity of State Cancer Hospital.The accused was riding a moped and asked to present the driver's papers.Police arrested the man after he refused to present the papers and began giving evasive responses. Wani confessed to commiting the offenses after the police team interrogated him, acknowledging that he is a regular commiter.
