Man dupes and assaults lady in city while posing as a doctor; held

Jaipur: Following Himan Sharma's detention by Manak Chowk police station on Sunday, a 26-year-old man posed as a doctor of SMS Hospital to deceive a woman of Rs 5 lakh by promising to get her admitted to the coveted Indian Forest Service (IFS) and sexually assaulting her on several occasions.Police confiscated a fake identification card with the SMS Hospital logo and Sharmas photo as an MD student, according to SHO Surendra Yadav, who said that Sharma lied to lure the woman and claimed to have been assaulted multiple times and cheated of Rs 5 lakh.Sharma gave the woman a job in the prestigious IFS for Rs 5 lakh, and he forforged an IFS appointment letter and sent it to her house.The woman was escorted to Uttrakhand by the criminal who took her to join the IFS there on the premise of joining the IFS.

The woman came from a humble family, according to police.Following arduous attempts, they arranged Rs 5 lakh for their daughter, lured by the promise of a safe job.The woman discovered later that she had been a victim to Sharma's tricks and narrated her ordeal to the cops.Sharma is a resident of Jalandhar in Punjab, according to Yadav, and was arrested by Manak Chowk police under IPC Sections 420 (cheating), 465 (forgery), 384 (extortion), and 376(2) (n) (commits rape on the same woman repeatedly).

According to police, the accused had come to Jaipur for medical entrance preparations.They discovered that the accused had purchased a stethoscope and a medical apron, and he presented them with pictures of him sporting the stethoscope and his family.According to Yadav, the companies continued to send him money because it was intended for his semester fees.The accused, on the other hand, never made it to a medical school, but he allegedly continued to receive family funds under the pseudonymouse of tuition fees for different semesters.
