For the fourth wicket partnership, Rodrigues and Deepti added an important 53 runs.Mandhanas drives are the most picturesque part of womens cricket, and one would look up in disbelief as Shafali Verma (17 off 15 balls) was the quiet partner in their first stand of 76 in 7.5 overs.Katherine Brunt had cover drives, grabbed sixes off seamers Natt Sciver and Issy Wong, and a lofted one of spinner Sarah Glenns bowling over long-on.As England bowlers seemed clueless during the boom, the half-century came in only 23 balls.

Although Mandhana had eight fours and three sixes in her knockout, Rodrigues had seven fours to her credit, primarily because of the gap between point and extra-cover.
