Manipur: Rajnath Singh honours those who perished in the Tupul landslide

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh paid tribute to the military personnel who lost their lives . Singh also met with the family members of the troops and gave each martyrs mother seven lakh cheques .

Siliguri, August 18, 2018 (Assam): During a landslide at Tupul in Manipur in July this year, defence minister Rajnath Singh paid tribute to the military personnel who lost their lives.Singh also met with the family members of the troops and gave each martyr's mother seven lakh cheques.The incidents took place in Virangana samman samaroh, a military station in Bagdogra siliguri, and Rajnath Singh said that our brave soldiers do not worry about what will happen to their lives, what will happen to their families; they only worry about their country, because it is their primary concern.This country will always be indebted to the sacrifice made by its brave soldiers, Rajnath said at the gathering.

Efforts were made to save them, but modern heavy equipment was also used to save them, Rajnath said, and yet we were unable to save them in the future.Rajnath Singh said that the problem will be addressed at the state level.No amount of money can be greater than anyone's life, and even as attempts to remedy the problems of the martyr families are being made, Maj. Manik Shaw praised the Gorkha troops at the ceremony.He said that if someone claims that we are not afraid of death, he is lying, and that if he is not lying, it means he is a Gorkha.
