Meeting with National Sports Awardees with Union Sports Minister Anurag Thakur and MoS Nitish Pramanik

President of India Droupadi Murmu presented the National Sports and Adventure Awards 2022 at a function held at Rashtrapati Bhavan today in New Delhi . Sharath Kamal, a legendary Table Tennis player, is the only recipient of the prestigious Major Dhyan Chand Khel Ratna Award this year .

New Delhi, December 1: On Wednesday, Union Sports Minister Anurag Thakur and Minister of Youth and Sports Nisith Pramanik met with National Sports Awardees in Delhi.At a function held at Rashtrapati Bhavan today in New Delhi, the President of India Droupadi Murmu presented the National Sports and Adventure Awards 2022 (Major Dhyan Chand Khel Ratna Awards-2022, Dronacharya Awards-2022, Arjuna Awards-2022, Maulana Abul Kalam Azad Trophy-2022, and Tenzing Norgay National Adventure Awards-2021), led by Arjun Munda According to a press release issued by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Judge, Supreme Court of India and the Chairperson of the Selection Committee for the Major Dhyan Chand Khel Ratna Award, Arjuna Award, Dronacharya Award, and Maulana Abul Kalam Azad Award.In the National Sports and Adventure Awards, 2022, a total of 44 Awards were presented this year.Since many months, the Department of Sports, Ministry of Youth Affairs, and India's Sports Authority have supported the majority of the athletes who have received the awards, as well as the Khelo India Scheme.
