Dehradun: In political circles, the turf war between Uttarakhand's minister of food and civil services, Rekha Arya, and Indian Food Commissioner, IAS Sachin Kurve, has sparked a stir.Rekha Arya, who has previously clashed with the bureaucracy, has urged IAS Kurve to take immediate action for violating laws and regulations. On June 19, Kurve had taken the Nainital district food and civil supplies officer on a long leave, and it seems that it went well with the minister, because it was taken without seeking permission from her, according to the minister.Kurve, instead of responding to the minister's note, sent out transfer orders for six additional food officers from Dehradun, Haridwar, Nainital, Rudraparyag, Chamoli, and Bageshwar.

The matter has now been heard from CM Pushkar Dhami.Kurve said in an interview with a journalist that everything has been done as per the rules and that I have followed the Uttarakhand Annual Transfer for Public Servants Act, 2017.The minister will be notified of the transfers in the coming days.To remember, Arya had sent a letter to the DIG of Dehradun Arun Mohan Joshi in September 2020, expressing concern for the missing status of the department of women and children, IAS officer V Shanmugam, who did not respond to her calls or messages for four days in a row from September 19 to 22.
