Mirabai Chanu, an Indian weightlifter, won a silver medal at the World Championships in Bogota, Colombia, this week, despite suffering with a wrist injury.Chanu, the 2017 world champion, fractured her wrist during a training session in September.Mirabai expressed satisfaction after winning the silver medal, but that she will continue to search for a gold medal at the Paris Olympics in 2024, she said in a tweet from Colombia.The 28-year-old said that the wrist injury made life difficult for her and that she would continue to improve at the forthcoming Asian Games on home soil, adding that her ultimate goal is to defeat a Chinese weightlifter one day and gain gold for the country.
