Mukhtar Ansari, A Gangster And Politician, Was Imprisoned For 5 Years In A 23-Year-Old Case

Mukhtar Ansari sentenced to five years in prison for a 23-year-old case involving the Gangsters Act . Ansari was also fined Rs 50,000 by the court for inserting a gang chart into the case .

Lucknow, January 9, 2019: Former MLA Mukhtar Ansari was sentenced to five years in prison for a 23-year-old case involving the Gangsters Act by a special MP-MLA court in 2020.Ansari was also fined Rs 50,000 by the court for inserting a gang chart into the case.The prosecution's petition against the former MLA was rejected by the special MP-MLA court.The gang chart was presented in the court as documentary evidence.

Mukhtar Ansari was sentenced to seven years in prison for assaulting a prisoner and pointing a pistol at him on Wednesday.In this case, the then Lucknow district prison jailer SK Awasthi filed an FIR with the Alambagh police, alleging that he was accused of ordering a search of people who came to meet Ansari.
