Nashik collector requests a quicker disbursement of the kharif loan

NASHIK (NASHIK): Gangatharan D, a district collector, has urged all banks to improve the kharif loan disbursement for the current year.We have received 35.22 percent loan disbursement for 34 percent farmers, which is higher than the previous year.As time goes on, we hope to see an increase in the loan repayment, Gangatharan told the reporters.According to the collector, the total loan disbursement target for the current year was Rs 3,239 crore, out of which Rs 1,140 crore has so far been disbursed.

In the area, the monsoon has just begun.There are farmers who are preparing their crop loan plans.Although the disbursement was made for those who approached early, the work on disbursement of loans for others is being done on a case by case basis, according to the officer.The district has been divided into two sections: one that gets heavy rains, which means that the agriculture operation begins early and the other that gets rains late, which means that the production begins later.

He said that the district had already received around 70% of the rains forecast until this year.However, the showers were not received in the parched areas.The Igatpuri taluka, which normally receives the most rain, has only received 9.8% of the expected showers, according to the forecast.The Trimbakeshwar taluka, which includes the Gangapur Dam complex, which provides drinking water to Nashik, receives good rains every year, but only has received 20 percent of the expected showers.
