Nashik: The Deolali Cantonment Board has agreed to lower the planned sewage treatment tax.

Deolali Cantonment Board has decided to cut taxes it previously asked property owners in the cantonment board region . The sewage treatment plant (STP) was built at a cost of about Rs 7 crore .

NASHIK (NASHIK): The Deolali Cantonment Board has decided to cut the taxes it previously asked property owners in the cantonment board region.In August 2020, the sewage treatment plant (STP) was built at a cost of about Rs 7 crore.To eliminate the open gutters, a separate STP was also implemented.To maintain the sewage treatment system operating, the cantonment board proposed to levy an additional Rs 150 per month last year.

Senior officials from the cantonment board said they will make sure that the residents are aware of how the tax collection process is crucial to keep the scheme running.Recently, a meeting of senior board members was held, at which it was decided to reduce the proposed STP fee so that it would not be too costly on the pocket of people.
