AMARAVATI: Chandrababu Naidu, the senior leader and former legislator for the TDP, has said he is a national leader and he can contest from any constituency.Naidu won seven terms from Kuppam in a row, according to he, due to the widespread support of the local population. He took a firm stand with chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy's words that Naidu had taken a Kuppam seat from the backward classes communities.Dhulipalla, who spoke to the media at the party's Amaravati office on Friday, said Naidu was owned by all Kuppam communities, including BCs, because he was a supporter of BC causes.

Backward classes leaders, he said, were given real autonomy and control only after the TDP's inception in 1983, and Naidu has no lessons learned from Jagan on empowerment in BC.Jagan Mohan Reddy said he appointed leaders from his own community to the top positions and spared a few non-focal positions to the BCs.During Jagans' visit to Kuppam, the entire police force worked 24x7 to arrest the TDP leaders, according to him.Jagan wanted to know why people were forced to suffer if Jagan had faith in the locals.

Jagan had realized that his days were getting numbered in the ranks, and had started to pursue undemocratic tactics, he said.
