Rome, Italy, June 24: According to the Office of the Chief Minister, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik met with representatives from the Odia diaspora in Rome, Italy, on Thursday, expressing their enthusiasm and dedication to the country's development, including in the areas of food security, agriculture, science, engineering, IT, artificial intelligence, and women empowerment.Patnaik praised the two for their renewed optimism.He was particularly glad to see that the Odias are doing well in Europe.He spoke with them about the new initiatives taking place in Odisha and encouraged them to work with the State to improve the country.

The Chief Minister congratulated them on their great careers and said the whole region is proud of their achievements.In a meeting with Pope Francis on Wednesday, Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik met with them in Vatican City.The Chief Minister of Odisha is leading a high-level delegation to Rome and Dubai.The delegation is scheduled to meet at the World Food Programme (WFP) headquarters in Rome on Tuesday to commemorate Odishas remarkable history in food security and disaster management.

Patnaik said on the occasion that he is inspired by Mahatma Gandhi's ideals and values.
